Once you decide to get married, it can feel like one swift free-fall toward the big day. It’s easy to get caught up in wedding planning such that every single conversation with your beau would revolve around the wedding details and decisions. But whether your wedding is months or years away, it’s important to take this time not only to prepare for a beautiful wedding but to get ready for a lasting and happy marriage.
In order to really prepare for your marriage, you both might need to stay away from your regular daily activities for some time and do the following things together.
Take an Impromptu Trip
Traveling alone with your beau to a place you have not been to before, where you both do not know anyone would not only make you get closer but would also give you the insight to see how you can work together to handle different situations, especially stressful ones. This also makes it a valuable insight for your future life together. So if you haven't traveled together yet, this is the best time to book a trip and be on your way. Even if you've had a couple’s getaway before, this is a good time to consider an engagement-moon.
Talk about money
While you are away from the buzz and hassles of work, your daily activities and the planning of the wedding, this would be the best time for you and
Take a class together
This is probably the most romantic and life-changing thing you should do. Going out of your comfort zone to learn something new together. This can be anything like taking a cooking class, trying a photography class, attending a dance class or attending a career or motivational seminar, etc. Doing this would strengthens your bond over a shared experience.
The list of things you can do with your significant other before you eventually walk down the aisle is endless, but if you can, you should get started with these three and don’t forget to freeze the memories in an album you can view later on in your marriage with family and friends.
